From Campbell River, drive north on Highway 19 to Woss. Continue on Highway 19 until the sign for Zeballos Forest Service Road. This is the end of the pavement and the beginning of an active logging road used at all hours by heavy equipment. Zeballos is 42 km and Fair Harbor is 32 km passed Zeballos. The road is in good condition but drive with caution obeying the 60 km speed limit. There are a number of well signposts forks in the road. For about an hour follow the signs to Zeballos.
On the outskirts of
Zeballos, is a road to Fair Harbor that by passes the
town. Initially, the road skirts the relocated Ehatishat Indian
Reserve and speed bumps force vehicles to slow down. (if you
miss this road and get into Zeballos cross over the red bridge
and turn left at the end of the road and carry on past the
Indian Reserve) carry on with the directions from there.
There is a boat launch there to unload your boat into the water .From Fair Harbor you take Eelstow passage, stay to the center of the passage due to rocks on each side. When you come out to the bay you should see our place at Jansen Bay.
